Good Morning Everyone!

Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend.  They always seem so short!

I had good weekend for the most part. We went to Starbucks on Saturday and I think I was given a drink with sugar in it, not the Sugar-Free I ordered.  About 30 minutes after drinking it I was very sick and then I was down for the count for 3 hours.  Sugar makes very tired.  So most of my Saturday afternoon was getting unplanned zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's   .

When I woke up it was raining so I just relaxed with a good book the rest of the evening.  Yesterday we stayed in and watched movies, read and just relaxed .  I never got dressed, but did get in a lovely bubble bath.

This morning I had problems with my laptop and had to wait until I got here at the office to post.  Hopefully this will be a productive but uneventful Monday here at the office.

Rain is predicted throughout the day and it is very dreary outside today, but I did notice my grass is turning a pretty green.

Hope you all have a WONDERFUL Monday!

It did seem to be a short weekend. We got lots of things accomplished - including a 2 hour nap. I'd love to say that I did good on my fiber, water and exercise but I think that I could have done much better on all of them. But today will be a better day for nutrition and exercise.

Carrie - what are you reading? I'm between reads right now and could use a couple of recommendations.

The plan for today looks something like this::

Breakfast - Greek Yogurt w/ a handful of lf granola
Lunch - Tuna Salad w/ Multigrain crackers
snack - Orange Creamsicle Shake (Protein & Fiber)
Dinner - Homemade Chicken & Vegetable Soup (or Stoup as Rachel Ray would call it)
snack - Fruit and a protein of some sort

Plenty of decaf unsweetened iced tea through the day and a few new flavors of crystal light to try out.

Iris,

I just finished James Pattersons 9th murder club book this weekend.  I haven't decided on the next one yet.  I am an avid reader and sometimes have a mystery and self-help going at the same time.

Right now I have 2 self-help types going:

The food and feeling workbook
50 ways to soothe yourself without food

I always have several books on hand to choose from, I love mysteries and forensics.

Have a GREAT day!

I haven't read the latest 2 books of Patterson's - had been waiting til my vacation week this summer (sort of a tradition for me). I' the same way with haveing several things going at the same time. Jeanette Walls -"Glass Castle" was pretty good even though I really don't like Biographies all that much.

Everybody tends to love my choice of Bathroom reading material - a stack of devotionals, comic books and a textbook size guide to world religions.

One of the girls in the office came across a series of books written by Kay Hooper. Who Dunnits with a Psychic twist. Pretty cool stuff. You might like them - and she's a North Carolina girl.
