Melanie,

Congratulations!!! I know it may feel like July 7th is a long way off, but it will be here before you know it.

I lost weight before my surgery. Some people do. Some people hold tight and some even gain a bit as the enjoy their last hurrah. Holding your weight or starting your weight loss journey and losing a few pounds is definitely doable and just helps you along the way. You might want to try using an online tracking system like www.mydailyplate.com to help you become aware of your intake. I have to say that I found it enormously helpful throughout my weight loss and even use it now when I need to 'refocus.'

Wishing you all the best,

Barbara

Congratulations! I am 7 weeks out today and I have lost 52 lbs. My starting weight was 355. I haven't flown yet, but that might give you somewhat of a comparison. Good luck, and like Barbara said, it goes by fast!!!
