Thank you Melissa for posting. My girls at work kept my facebook status updated. Technology is a wonderful thing.
So Wayne has just now gotten out of surgery (4 pm eastern) He was supposed to have gone in around 8 this morning but things kept getting pushed back. It's amazing how things happen. By delaying the surgery it gave my Mom time to fly down and be with him prior to them taking him to the OR. THat small thing calmed him down. It also gave them time to hear from me that all was well with my colonoscopy.
He'll be in the Hospital for at least another 24 hours - for heavy doses or antibiotics and observation. They were able to do his surgery laproscopically so we all know how much easier his recovery will be.
Dr. Mac is treating me as someone who is chronically constipated. Up the fiber in every form imaginable. Up the water in take daily. Up the exercise to 60 minutes a day - no excuses. No signs of polyps or bleeding areas. So that was a good thing. Scheduleanother colonoscopy for 5 years. I told him I would if he'd promise to use something better than go lytely. YUCK - YUCK - YUCK.

I know you and your son were excited about the trip. Sorry he is in the hospital, but ever so glad you were able to get there and he is on the road to recovery.
Happy for the good test results. Keep encouraging the doctor to find a better way so when it is my turn, I won't have to go YUCK YUCK YUCK
Praying you and your son will continue to be safe and get back home soon!
