Need assistance..

Hi everyone!  I have recently been laid off from work and as a result applied for Medicaid for the kids and I.  In anticipation of the Medicaid approval, I've been doing research on doctors in the Raleigh area and haven't found any that accept Medicaid.  I am willing to venture out to the surrounding counties.

Does anyone know of any doctors nearby that accept Medicaid? What about Duke Weight Loss?(Yes, I read through the posting at the top regarding Medicaid/Medicare.)

I believe in the informational meeting at Duke they said they do take medicaid (Ithink) but not sure of the requirements. There session is free and you can find it on line. The phone # is 919-470-7000

Duke does accept Medicaid. You can contact Duke at the number Audra provided to get information about Medicaid insurance participation and you can sign up for their free informational seminar. You should probably ask what the Medicaid requirements are for medically supervised weight loss. I know what they are for Medicare, but am unsure of what they are for Medicaid. You can start your medically supervised weight loss before you submit your application to Duke and it might shorten the length of time you will need to wait before you will be eligible for surgery through Medicaid.
