Newbie needing "cash pay" dr. info

Hi ev1! I am a newbie in NC and although I have been on here for a few weeks, am just now becoming a member. I am uninsurable due to being self employed and overweight, so I am gonna pay in cash for my surgery.

I know and have researched a lot about Mexico, Costa Rica, India, and etc. but have not been able to find out info on prices for many US doctors. So I am hoping someone knows a better way than I am doing (calling ea. one at a time) such as a website or number to call. Also, if you have any info on drs. in the Us, please let me know as it would be greatly appreciated.

I know Mexico is a good option but just want to see if I can possibly stay in the US instead.

There was a post similar to yours on either the Main forum page or the RNY page just the other day.  Try searching using "cash pay" and see if that helps. If not repost your question there.

      My mom got her surgery at Durham regional Hospital. She had the lap band but before her surgery she was looking into RNY. I asked how much the surgery was there and was told $40,000.00 i had been told it was $30,000. Before I went to Dr Joya in Mexico and had my surgery for $12,500. 

    For that $12,500. I got round trip airfare, 4 nights in a hospital and then 5 days in a hotel. and covered all the surgery costs.
