As long as you are pursuing a course of study that will get you into a paying job taking out student loans is really probably okay. I have been so resistant to doing just that that I don't have my degree. If I keep on waiting for a time where I don't have to take out the Financial aid loan then I will never get my degree so I am biting the bullet and doing it. I figure that I will get a job and pay off the loan as quickly as I can. I am not qualified for any grants so I will have to pay it all back. Oh well. But at 53 years old if I don't start now I will never get it done. So don't worry about whether or not you can get the grants. You will be able to get the financial aid (student loans) no matter what. It turned out to be easier than I ever dreamed to get them. Who knew?
