Friday Check-in

Good Morning Everyone!   TGIF!

I don't think I would have made it if there was one more work day to this week!  I am really looking forward to the weekend and some down time.

Today will be another day of catch up at the office .  I have made myself a huge fresh salad for lunch that I have topped off with imitation crab meat, along with some of the strawberries I purchased at the Farmers Market earlier this week.  I have stocked my work pantry with lots of mini-meal options and have found that when I just keep it stocked and chose as I go, I seem to be much more satisfied and less rebellious.

Tomorrow we will start the weekend with eye exams.  I really thought that weight loss would have helped with my vision.  Since surgery I have had to change my eye glass prescription every year due to vision changes.  I can tell that I will probably have another change again this year too.  But I am so thankful that I have my sight.  22 yrs ago when I was diagnosed with PTC, I was told I would probably be blind within 2 yrs.  The good Lord made sure I found good sound medical advise so that I could prove miracles do happen.  I will gladly wear glasses for the rest of my life.

I hope to check out the Farmers Market here in Fayetteville tomorrow morning also.  We have one Saturday morning and Wednesday afternoons.  I never remember to go until the day after, but hopefully I will remember to make that trip tomorrow.  I love this time of the year and all the fresh produce that is available.

On Sunday I hope to be able to ride motorcycles in the morning before traffic becomes too thick.  I always feel so "free" while riding in the early part of the day.  Of course we will make sure to include a trip to the "buck" for a Soy coffee frappe.

I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Friday!

Happy Mother's Day to all our WONDERFUL mothers.

Good Morning All,

Still working on the new house to get it into a condition where we can move into it. It will probably be doable this weekend or early next week.

Yesterday my daughter's knee dislocated, throwing her to the cement sidewalk as she went down the front brick steps of our home. I took her to the orthopedic urgent care and they said that she's bruised the bones of her knee and elbow where she hit the hardest, but it's where the skin ripped off that really seems to be hurting her. She's bandaged up and we're using anti inflamatories to help her knee and elbow. She said she feels like she's been mugged and beaten... not that she's ever experienced such a thing, but it's how she imagined it would feel.

I'm keeping my weight steady and hoping to put on a few. I enjoyed tamales and beans for dinner last night.

I have found that I'm not eating as 'well' as I should because we are either on the run or just plain exhausted. We're trying and I have to say that we are doing much better than we would if we were going through this before WLS, but there is definitely room for improvement.

I'm seriously considering taking the day off on Sunday. We'll see.

Hope you all have a good day.

It has been a busy week so I am glad it is Friday!

Walked with Andrea on Wednesday. Planning to walk with Debra this morning.

Love the company and extra activity.

My body refused to get up to run this morning   so I gave it a break and laid down 30 minutes longer this morning. As much as I need activity, I also MUST listen to my body when it is screaming for me to slow down.

Tomorrow will be the one Saturday this month where I do not HAVE to go anywhere so I am looking forward to it. I have several things to accomplish so it will be a busy day!

Hubby bought me another computer desk so I can setup my laptop and printer in another room.   He is such a sweetie! He also designed a custom stamp for my handmade note cards! I picked it up from Staples yesterday. Looking forward to getting my cards ready for consignment.

Going to have dinner with ma and pa Sunday after church.

Work is just busy enough to provide a full day but not requiring a lot of overtime at the moment. Thankful for my job as budget cuts are a coming!

I have finally stopped weighing everyday. The daily up and down is just messing with my head. I love my GoWear as it is making me aware of just how little activity I get on some of my full meeting days at work. Looking to boost those numbers this weekend.

Off to get some documentation updated.

Make it a great day! Happy Mommy’s Day to all!

If I am gonna eat   like a fat girl, then I gotta workout   like a skinny girl!

Well I managed to be late to work this morning - not alot just 10 minutes - but I LOATHE being late for anything. I had managed to convince myself that today was Saturday. It took me a while to figure out that Wake up with Al was only on on weekdays. So today is off to a rough and rocky start.

Tomorrow my cousin graduates from College. I am so very proud of him. He's 37 and over the years has made some STUPID decisions. He'll be the first to admit them. His last years of High School were spent at the Governors School of Math and Science - he's a friggin genius. But a high IQ does not insure success or common sense. I have to admit that I admire his determination to keep at it until he could say he'd reached his goal.

Sunday is a big family Mothers Day lunch at my Mom's. I feel like a spoiled brat saying this - but here goes - I am an only child. The fact that she remarried 4 years ago and I now have "step" siblings doesn't change that. I really don't feel like sharing with any of the extended family on Sunday. I'd love to pack a picnic - grab my Mom and jump in the car and just go for a drive like we used to growing up.

Dang I've got issues this morning. hmmmm.....At least now that I've vented I feel somewhat better. I've got a date with my oldest son to go play tennis in the park this evening after work.

The food plan looks like this:

Commute: Creamsicle Protein Shake w/ Metamucil
Breakfast: Scrambled Egg w/ Cheese
Lunch: Wendys Chili
snack: Gala Apple & Cheese Stick
Dinner: Homemade Beenie Weenies & small salad
Snack: Watermelon Wedges

Hope everyone's Friday is a great one.

I could not be any more excited about it being FRIDAY, and I have no softball tornament for my daughter this weekend. YAY I think I will get some well need chores done. Not getting alot of sleep, got a new puppy and she thinks 5 am is the time to get out of her kennel. I know this will get better but I am exhausted.
I am exercising back on a regular schedule, getting in my liquids and changing to better vitamins(thanks Andrea), so things with post op are going well. I am down 90 pounds and still slowly losing. Todays food is:

Breakfast-isopure protein drink with 1/2 banana
Snack-24oz water then a hard boiled egg
Lunch--turkey and cheese wrap (small homemade)
Sanck--24oz water and maybe some peanuts
Dinner--small steak and veggies
Snack--cheese stick and more water (not together)

Have a great weekend and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the  mothers

I am soooo glad it's Friday! I just got done taking my students outside to do a "paper airplane project". They each got to throw their plane three times, we then measured and recorded the distance. On monday we'll graph using a line, pictograph, and bar graphs. It was fun, although 17 4th graders right before EOG tests is quite an adventure.

This weekend I plan on getting some REST! And cleaning my house. It is a mess since I went back to work. I come home everyday just exhausted. I hope to eat well this weekend. It's really hard to eat well when I'm at school.

Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

I will be back at work Saturday and Sunday and half day on Monday. Then I will have the week off again. I can't wait to begin classes and have somewhere to go during the weekdays LOL! That is coming up in two weeks so I am getting almost as anxious as I got waiting for my surgery. At least I get to be conscious for that first day LOL!
