Good Morning OH family,

Today is day #2 of my recommitment.  Yesterday went well for me considering my pouch thought it should be enjoying a lot more at each "feeding".   I can see that I will need to be very aware of what and when I am eating.

I was able to sneak a peek on the forum a few times during break yesterday and really enjoyed catching up with everyone.  I also used the same time to sip, sip, sip, so it was a two for one.

I have a full day scheduled for today to include lunch with one of our company reps and several meetings outside of the office.  I have a Plan so I should be successful in staying on track again today.

I hope that each and everyone of you have a FANTASTIC Tuesday.

Happy Tuesday!

Lurking around. Have (2) meetings to facilitate today. Hoping for an uneventful day.

I purchased a GoWear Fit monitor last week and have been amazed at some of the information. I wore it Saturday during the 5mile walk and it tracked 1/2 of the walk (abotu an hour) as moderate activity and 1/2 as vigorous activity. I ran for 35 minutes this morning and it logged it all as moderate activity.

(Note to Michele - think about the gentleman you told me about that walks faster than he runs). So my revelation is guess who is 'strolling' during her runs??? Easy to fool yourself into thinking you are doing more than you really are!

Which is why I bought the unit in the first place. Reality bites!

On the flip of that I am tickled to know I am moving a lot more than I thought. My daily steps are 10,000+, even on a meeting filled day like Mondays.

Life is great! There are some hills and valleys, but over all, if the trumpet sounded today, I have been very blessed!

Work your tool and share your love with someone today!  Count your blessings and go enjoy your life to the fullest! Michael and I love you all!

They are about 1/2 price at Dicks Sporting Goods. They are selling them as clearance prices as they did not sell well. I called the stores close to me looking for them and they all said they did not have them. I decided to go anyway and found them. I did have t go to 2 stores as the first one only had the armband.

Been wearing it since Friday
Cannot tell I am wearing the armband
The display gives you a quick and easy way to check your progress through the day
It is actually motivating me to move more; I look at my steps and calories and it makes me want to get the numbers higher
Uploaded the info to the activity monitor is easy

My husband wants one just because and he walks around asking me have I checked my vitals (haha).

It's just occurred to me that the Easter Bunny brought me a new pedometer ....but I have no idea what I've done with it. (He also brought me some hand weights, danskin exercise bands and a pilates dvd) I think I know where the rest of the stuff is at---hmmmmm???

Yesterday was a fairly good day - logged my food, drank my water and stuck pretty close to the plan. Hopefully that will be the case again today.  Carrie - the smoothie yesterday was a great way to start my day so I did it again today. This morning is a 1/2 of a frozen banana, some vanilla soy milk. a splenda packet, a scoop of pure protein vanilla cream and a few ice cubes. YUMMY!!!!  There's something about using frozen fruit that just makes them so much better.

Hey Barb - I can finally take the duct tape off my bottle of vitamins!! YEAH!!! It only took 6 days to get 3 tiny samples.

Watch out world ----here I come.  It's going to be a great day!!!!

Happy Tuesday to everyone!  I am looking forward to another great day today.  Yesterday was one of those days where everything went down well and I felt great all day.  Here's to today being the same way!

Two co-workers of mine want to start walking during the lunch hour today.  Our boss allows for an extra thirty minutes at lunch if we want to exercise.  It's awesome!  Also, I'm going to look for a gym today.  I am really excited to start doing more than walking!

Breakfast was an egg beater with a mini babybel light cheese (I'm only 5.5 weeks out RNY).  And I finally found something I enjoy drinking.  I bought sugar/calorie free lemonade flavor from Target - AMAZING.  I like things that are tangy rather than sweet.  I went through an entire box in about 3 days.

Enjoy another day of your amazing lives!

If you like tangy and tart then they make this stuff called True Lemon, True Lime or you can get True Orange. It's a powder that's concentrated of each of the fruits. It's not sweetened so a little goes a long, long way. I know they sell it in Food Lion (it's on the top shelf in my local store near the splenda and sweeteners).

It's really amazing stuff.

Iris,  I found that a really good protein frapp or shake will usually take care of any sweet cravings I usually get in the evening.

Oh Happy I wi**** was FrIday,
I am sooooo tired today. It seems my weekends are taken up with my childrens sports activities, I have no rest days. I am looking forward to a girls weekend at the beach in two weeks. Anyway eating and vitamins are going well. Weight is going slowly down, exercise is non existent but have changed my training days to start a new schedule next week.
I know I need to work out so I hope this schedule change will work. I can not seem to make a good comprimise with my kids schedule, to be sure i am taking care of me. I guess that is normal with a 11, and 14 year old.
Anyway sorry about the whining, I just need a break in my schedule.
Have a great week all

Audra,

Just think about how much easier and enjoyable all that movement is now.  You are going to find that you can fit so much more in your day as the weight comes off.

Have a GREAT Wednesday!
