Surprise... it's just me, Skotermagrooder, starting today's check in.... looks like everybody is sleeping in on this rainy morning....

I'm on my way into the show to get ready to meet a client for lunch... it will be a good healthy lunch, probably a salad bar wih some baked chicken thrown on top.  It's been a really busy week.  It seems as though i'm still trying to catch up with client needs from the couple of weeks I took off to recuperate from surgery.... I just can't seem to actually get in the swing again.  When i went back to the Dr.on Monday, he told me i could start back with my trainer, so that will help me not feel like such a slug!

I just called the hubby and told him that i was making an executive decision... and he had to bring home dinner since i wasn't cooking tonight.  I've been cooking almost every night for weeks!!  VERY unlike me!!  So i guess it will be chinese food tonight.... probably hot & sour soup.  A favorite of ours.

Well, i'm off to start my day.... Come on Everyone... join our check-in.... we're her to listen to you rant, rave, or just tell us about you day!!!

Hope all are doing well on this dreary spring morning. I'm freezing and I think I need to get a cup of coffee to help me warm up.

Yesterday we had a little more disruption/difficult news. As many of you know, we are moving and we had a house that worked for us and signed the lease this weekend. Yesterday, we found out the house we leased became 'unavailable' due to a family emergency that their family has and they need the house for their family member. I hope that something else works out soon.

I am continuing to struggle with my weight. I am down to about 135 now. I am trying, but having trouble eating. I'm soooo stressed that I'm nauseated most of the time, so it makes eating unappetizing. That said, I am trying.

Last night I made sure that we had a nice family dinner. I think that with all of the stress, it's important that we sit around the table and connect. I made crab cakes, with fresh green beans 'sauteed' with onions and a slice of ham diced, baby carrots with some Mrs Dash, a bit of splenda brown sugar and a pinch of black pepper, I did a bit of rice pilaf to round out the meal. I honestly had trouble getting all of the crab cake in, much less the rest of the meal.

Tonight I'm hoping to do a  caprise salad of skim mozzarella cheese, sliced tomatoes with slivers of red onion, fresh basil and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, then I'll do heavy meat sauce over a few cheese raviolis and fresh spinach sauteed with red onions and balsamic vinegar. I love this dinner combination and hope it will tempt me to have a bit extra. We'll see. I'll make sure that there is plenty of the salad over a bed of fresh spinach for my daughter as well as the rest of dinner to help her continue her healthy eating and slimming down.

Well, I'd better start cleaning up some more.

I've got my food plan roughly planned out for the next few days already. I was falling back into some old habits and ruts that I really want to avoid. So today is a new beginning. I think the one day at a time approach is necessary - at least for me.

Hopefully I'll get my nasty house cleaned up this evening. I had really good intentions yesterday but decided that going to the OBX support group was probably going to be more beneficial to me in the long run. I'm so glad I went. the girls were awesome and I had a great time.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi all WLS Carolinians. I am here at work on this dreary Wed. Things have been going great for me, I even made a mini Thanksgiving dinner last night. It was very enjoyable and full of protein. The salads are yummy now but I am over doing it sometimes on the ruffage, my intestine ask for a break lol.
I am sorry I missed everyone on Sat, I am hoping to make the next meeting (unless my kids have other plans for me).
It has been a great week, wore some new clothes to work, and people are amazed how small I am getting. I usually wear scrubs that are to big, although they have been taken in once already. I am not looking forward to bathing suit shopping though. I thought I had to the end of June till vacation, but my mom just planned a girls beach weekend for May so I will have to shop soon YUK.
Anyway everyone have a great hump day and keep striving to do your best day after day.
