A new first for me...

As a former member of the heavy weight club, I have always hid myself from the evil camera.  I could not stand seeing that blob of a human on film.  Well, at 2 yrs postop, I decided it was time.  Family photos are a must.  So we went out and got a photo done,  (see picture in my photos).  While I still have some issues with me in the picture, I have come to accept that this is me now and I like who I have become and what I see in the mirror.  It took a long time to get here and while there are always some things we are never 100% ok with about ourselves, thats just fine.  The good far surpass the bad and the things that I am not happy with about me are just not that important.  What matters is I am happy, healthy, and will hopefully live a lot longer than my former self would have.  God willing, I will now be able to walk my beautiful daughter down the aisle one day and spend my senior years aimlessly wandering around this great country of ours with my beautiful wife in some big ole RV.  Thanks OH for contributing to my success and God Bless WLS, it gave me my life back.

Dalton my friend!!!

I checked out your pics and they are great!!!  You're right... you are a lucky man!!!  You have a beautiful wife and a beautiful daughter, Stan & I need to do that.  You know, we are always our own worst critics.  I have never seen a picture of myself that i approve of!!!

The only thing that surprises me about your post is that you are even considering  allowing that beautiful daughter to date... much less marry!!!

Thanks Judy...  You're absolutely right about us being our own worst critic.  So true.

Now on to the more important discussion.  My daughter.  :-)  On second thought... I am now thinking a convent or nunnery may be in order.  I plead momentary lapse in judgement.  Maybe along with the weight, I lost a few braincells too.  Ok, am convinced.  Where's the shotgun and rocking chair.  New edict for the Louque household, boys shall be shot at the first sign of trepassing.  Yoiu think I can convince the Johnston County School System to ship all the boys in her school to another county...

LOL... I don't think the school think will work,.... I'd try for the nunnery...

I love the pictures! It was so nice meeting you and your family at the meetup yesterday! Hope to see you all again soon!

P.S. I think the shotgun is in order!

Hey Dalton,

Great family picture!!

Amy and I were just talking yesterday that we needed to go get a family portrait done.

As far as the daughter thing is concerned, let me know if you figure something out.   The shotgun thing didn't work for my 17 year old.   She's just too cute.   Thankfully, she's only interested in the good guys and we're pleased with the boy she's dating right now.

Squeeze your daughter tight and enjoy these days.   They grow up too quickly.
