Saturday Checkin

First of all, I want to thank so many of those who came to the support group meeting this morning in Raleigh and offered a warm welcome and hugs. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the friendship and support.

I got some more difficult news last night, so I hardly slept. I tried ordering a favorite at breakfast this morning and ate some, but still didn't have much to eat this morning. My stomach is just flipping and flopping with the stress. I'm hoping to make a stop a Trader Joe's this afternoon and pick a few healthy, but yummy goodies.

It looks like we'll be moving soon, so either later today or tomorrow, I need to start packing and clearing stuff out. I'm hoping that once it's all said and done things will get a little easier.

I'm loving the beautiful day and looking forward to taking a walk in the warm sunshine with a couple of my furry four-legged friends in tow... Maybe my honey and/or daughter will come with me too. I'm hoping that this might help ease the stress.

Please share your day.

I overslept and missed the meeting this morning, I was so sad. My parents took my daughter out to play this morning, not realizing she's my non-electronic alarm clock.

Will you be moving away from Raleigh?
I hope things get better soon.

We're sorry you missed us this morning too, but hopefully we'll see you next month!

It will be a local move, so no worries, the support groups will continue as usual.

See you soon!

What a beautiful day outside. I haven't wanted to miss a single second of it by being inside - so far we've mowed the yard, taken off the garbage, washed my truck, washed David's van and raked a gazillion pine cones.

All the while dinner was cooking in the crock pot. Occassionally a neighbor walking by would stop and ask what was cooking because with the windows open it's all you can smell around here. Part of my Christmas from David was a great big gigantic GE crockpot that has the insulated walls and the programmable timer ----I've been afraid to use it because it was so nice. Oh it cooks like a dream. After we ate awhile ago, Cameron (David's 10 year old son) wanted to know if I'd teach him how to cook - he said my roast beef was the best in the world.

Well now that I've had a little break it's time to go play with my tomato plants. I cannot sit still for very long. Oh how much life changes after surgery......2 years ago I'd have been curled up in bed or on the couch with the remote control in my hand, a bag of chips or cookies and a coca cola. I still have trouble wrapping my head around that person... I LOVE THE NEW & IMPROVED version of ME!!!!

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Barb,
It was great to see you today and Ben.
It is great to see how popular  the meetup has become.
Pat your self on the back for this because of your endless love and support it has become what it is.
Are you staying in Raiegh?
When I walk my dogs in the morning I call it my clear the air time and it helps me put many things in focas.
I also love the connection I have with my animals too.

After the meetup we came home and I started working on my herb bed.
Went to buy more flowers and herbs and getting ready to finish planting then after I eat a little something.
Lee has been burning leaves and brush and later we are going to grill a chicken.
Today has been a wonderful day for us.

I am also going to make a fat free crab dip later today.
Thank goodness I always have a container full of celery ready to eat this helps me not give into the chip monster.

Annie,

Thank you so much for the hugs, love, support and beautiful orchids. It's nice to be home and surrounded by so many people that are glad to see me.

While we will be moving, it will be local, so no worries... the meetups will continue.

See you soon and thanks again for the lovely gesture.

Hugs,
