Clear the air
However, I can tell you any of the COE programs are going to give you a wonderful patient experience not unlike the Duke program. The main thing is to follow the rules and you will be succesful.
I hope the name calling will stop. There is no need to call anyone on this forum a troll or anything else for that matter. Everyone goes on here in good faith and are entitled to say what they need to say without being called names.
Best of Luck to All!! Anyone who chooses this surgery has made a huge step towards a healthier life! Mary
Since said troll was deactivated, there's not much else I can comment on, since I'm not familiar with the issues.
((((Mary)))),
I have been out of the loop for a while due to our own significant family issues. I came back to a swirl of posts about things going on at Duke. I haven't been back to Duke for a support group meeting since the holidays and haven't talked to anyone there directly, so I have no idea about what has been going on and just recently heard of your departure and your battle with cancer. Please know that from a patient perspective you and your services will be greatly missed. From a personal perspective I will miss your warmth and support. I also will have you in my thoughts and prayers as you make your way through the journey you have ahead.
I agree that from my own experience, the staff of Duke WLS have always acted with our best interests at heart. I believe that it is the support of the program that has enabled Ben and I to be as successful as we have been and continue to be. Thank you for contribution to that success.
Wishing you all the best as you move forward.
Warmly,
Barbara
