Good Morning Everyone!

Hope Everyone had a GREAT weekend.  Come share with us.  Let us know about your weekend and what are your plans for today.

We started our weekend early both mornings with errands and chores.  DH and I are still getting over the sticker shock we got Saturday morning when we got an estimate for a new roof.  In addition to the roof we will need to replace our heating/air unit too.  Then while running around Sunday morning we noticed the cords on my car tires are showing so we need to replace all 4 immediately.  When it rains it pours!

I was able to get in an afternoon nap on Saturday.  At 2 pm my body told my mind if it did not get some rest it was shutting both down!  I think that virus I had last week has really slowed me down.  If I try to push myself I feel so weak that I have no choice but to slow down.

Today will be my usually busy Monday at work.  I have an administrative day planned, so it will be stressful but will fly by.  I made some yummy Hungarian mushroom and beef soup yesterday so I will have nice nourishing comfort food lunch.  I need to concentrate on my fluids again as I have let that slide a little bit.

Wishing you a WONDERFUL Monday!

Good Morning!!! Guess what?? It's raining AGAIN. it's the Man Child's birthday and that pig got to sleep in this morning. What I would have given to roll back over when the clock went off this morning.

We had a low key weekend. I did get out Saturday afternoon and get a walk in. It was cold and windy but it just felt good. We had talked about going fishing yesterday but the wind wasn't going to cooperate so I decided it was project time for me. OH DEAR - WHAT ON EARTH WAS I THINKING?????? I simply wanted to move a few things around in the garage so I could make it more convenient to get to the treadmill and the weight bench. Without leaving the yard look what I did ........

Not only did I clear a spot for my home gym....but David decided to get in on the garage clean out and suggest a different spot to set it up. Okay so we completely cleaned the garage and moved all the equipment several times.

Do yall see where the pedometer says 7.10 miles???? That was between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. yesterday. Add a broom to that for sweeping and wow what a workout. Then this morning I forgot to pickup the pedometer from my bedside table. I'll get my 45 minutes on the treadmill this evening after work. NO EXCUSES. David was hooking up the cable to the TV in the garage for me.

Oh Oh Oh - I about forgot ----I came across a protein shake "recipe" the other day that is FANTASTIC.  For breakfast this morning I'm having a Creamsicle Shake. In my little blender bottle I put 8 oz of FF Lactaid milk (can't handle the real stuff anymore),a  stick of the Crystal Light Orange Sunrise drink mix, a scoop of Pure Protein brand Vanilla Creme protein, a 4 oz container of Activia vanilla yogurt and a couple of ice cubes. OMG!!! It's delicious.

Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!! I know mine has started out wonderfully.

My nephew and his bride are having their first baby today. Some of you may recall that they have lost 2 babies before; one to a mid-term miscarriage and the second was a premature delivery at 6 months. Gracie lived for 24 hours. This baby boy is being delivered by C section today at full term. We pray that Kale Mitchell will arrive healthy and well and that the surgery will be safe and uneventful for my nephew's wife.

I have to take my puppies to have some testing done... it's likely to be a raucous, noisy trip.

Sarah has the day off from school today, so I'm hoping that we'll get some 'quality time' together this afternoon.

I hope that you all have a good day.

Hello everyone.  So much for my morning post because it's after 12 noon already but my day so far has been "phone" busy with calling & scheduling appts. for myself, sister and  my daughter.  Trying to juggle everyone's appt. can be a huge challenge.  Anyway, my weekend was a quiet one and I loved it.  Sometimes quiet is good.  I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia several months ago and would love to think the Dr. made a misdiagnosis but days like today with it being damp weather, lets me know the Dr. hit that nail on the head.  What is frustrating is trying to find the right meds. that a RNY'er can take.  She prescribed Lyrica and I refuse to take it because of its side effects.  Weight gain and depression is something I don't need any  help with. That's my battle without drugs...LOL.  Anyway, today is an off work day so I'm doing some around the house chores, catching up on ironing, like Barbara, cleaning out a few closets/drawers, then thinking about going to go have my taxes done.

Everyone have a blessed day and just to let you know, even though I don't sign in as much as I know I need to, I enjoy your post SO much.  Keep up the good work.  Maybe my slackness will improve.

I had a really good weekend.  Spent time with hubby and friends.  Got some house work done, and got to the gym.  The gym/elliptical has been kicking my butt.  Or should I say, I have been kicking butt while there.  I come home tired but I am seeing the results.  I am wearing a size 4 with some 2s thrown in.  I feel good and now DH has started going to the gym too.  He has dropped about 20 lbs and quite a few inches.  It is so good to see and I am so happy that my weight loss has inspired him.
No problems and that is good.  I wish the same for all of you.
My body does not define who I am but I am trying to define my body.  It  gets easier with every pound I drop.
