Ways U R going to Atlanta in Nov?

Just wondering about how everyone is planning to get to Atlanta for those who are heading to the event. I am very interested in going, but we only have one running vehicle and if I want to go then I need to figure out an alternative for getting there and back so hubby and the boys can have the van. How are you all heading there? If it is an alternative way to driving then would love to hear what kind of prices I can be expecting. Oh, I am down in Fayetteville in case it is something that would mean having to drive to another town to get to whatever method.

Oh I am so glad to read you are working on going to Atlanta.
I just talked to ibeannieb last night and she is going by train plans may change for her.

I am definitely going by train as my vehicle is not reliable enough for the trip. I already have purchased my round trip tickets and I am looking forward to it. My rail fare was 130.00 round trip from Greensboro. I used my AAA discount and bought the tickets on-line. I have also reserved my hotel room and can share with up to 3 others (ladies of course). If you share with me alone it would be about 90.00 for the whole stay. If we can two more than it would be 45.00 for each of us. I plan on taking a taxi from the train station unless I make other arrangements before hand to be picked up. Any way the train (Amtrak of course - 19 Crescent) I will arrive on gets there at 8:13 am Nov 6th (Friday morning). I get back on the train at 8:21 pm Sunday night (20 Crescent) to ride it home and plan to see the sights of Atlanta during the day on Sunday. I hope I don't find too much trouble to get into but we will see LOL! Since my clothes don't take up too much room anymore I plan on just using a backpack to pack my things in so I can just tote that around after checkout on Sunday through my touristy stuff.
