I have been approved and have a date set for RNY on August, 27 2009.  It feels real now!  I am starting my pre-op diet tomorrow.  Which is basically just low carb/low cal.  I am glad it is not liquid.  Although, I do plan to use protien shakes.  Well, keep me in prayers as the date approaches.  I know the journey will not be easy, but I hope it will be worth it.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll be sitting pretty onthe losers bench in no time. Good luck on the low carb diet - you hear so many horror/struggling stories about the preop liquid diet - it should be a piece of cake for ya.

Keep us posted on your progress.
