Avatar picture

 Every time I try to load my picture, I get the message that the picture is too large.  All the pictures on my computer are the same size.  Can any of you tell me how to reduce the size so that the site will accept it?    Thanks

Log on to www.picnik.com

Upload your photo.

Click on your photo. The edit tab will appear. 

Click on the Crop button. A frame will appear around your photo. 

Click the constraint dropdown menu and select square.

Capture the portion of the photo you want to appear in your avatar by dragging the 'handles' of the square.

Click the OK button.

Click the Resize button.

Enter 100 x 100 in the deminsion fields that appear at the top of the screen. The photo will automatically resize to the appropriate dimensions.

Click the OK button.

Click the Save and Share tab. The system will automatically name the photo a default name. You can change it, but make sure that it has a .jpg extension. 

Click the Save Photo button. 

Your done editing and resizing the photo. 

Upload your newly resized avatar to your profile.

Thank you for responding to my message about my avatar.  I  followed your directions about going to picnik and resizing the photo.  When I tried to upload the photo I got a message saying that it should not be over a certain K.  I searched for information on my picture and it said it was 24 KB.  Do you have any idea how I can get this part correct?
