Does BCBSNC cover the.....

Psych Evaluation? I called to schedule my appt on F riday and she said that they may cover it and I will just have my copay. Did they cover it for you if you have BCBSNC?

Individual plans vary, however mine did cover it with a "specialist" copay ($40).

I have BCBSNC through my husband and they covered the psych evaluation when I had it done at UNC they did not cover it at Duke which is where I started ended up having my surgery through UNC.
At Duke this fee has to be paid in full before the evaluation.

I am thinking that my plan will cover with my 30.00 specialist copay but I will call them tomorrow to double check.

Mine did not cover at Duke.

Mine was covered except for the copay. We had the Blue Options plan with BCBSNC.

Mine psych eval was covered by BCBSNC.  I just had to pay the co-pay.  I'm a community college employee.

My psych eval was covered under my BCNSNC!! I did pay the 30.00 copay!!!

BCBSNC didn't cover my psych evaluation at Duke since Dr. Applegate and Dr. Friedman were not preferred providers - at least not at the time I had mine done.  I was told that it would have simply been a specialist co-pay if they had been preferred providers.  Good luck!

I have BCBS of NC on the Federal plan. It cover it with a co-pay.
