I started to respond to each of you, but Wow, I'm overwhelmed by everyone's responses!  Thank you all for the prayers, kind words and support.  This OH family is truly a blessing in my life.   Yesterday was rough.  I cried myself through the Easter sunrise service...who cries on Easter?  But the pastor kept talking about death being obsolete since Jesus has risen.  I'm crying now just typing that out!  I know the meaning behind it, and I believe it, but death sure doesn't feel obsolete to us right now.  :(  We found out yesterday that he was actually in Afghanistan, not Iraq.  Not that it makes a difference, but I still wanted to pass on the actual facts.

Deb~
I spent four years in the Marines, my hubby is a active duty Marine here in Jacksonville at Marine Corps Air Station, New River. With Camp Lejeune five miles from New River we are nothing BUT a military town. Lots of my neighbors are deployed and hubby was deployed last year. I am so sorry for your loss and I will be so happy the day all the men and woman who serve our country can come home in peace. I hope Kristy will be ok and that her new baby will bring her some joy in her life.

hugs,
Darcie

Deb, I will keep his wife, family and friends in my thoughts and prayers!  I lost a cousin in Iraq about 2 years ago.  We all know he died for his Country and was doing what he loved to do, he was a Marine through and through...  Anyway, my prayers are with ya'll! Sheryl
