Well...well.well.well... What is it gonna do? I've heard so many different reports.  I did see a giant ring around the moon and according to Google, that means snow is coming soon.  What do ya'll think? I'm not a gambler, but what the hay...I feel lucky. I'm gonna stick my neck out here and hope the rest of ya'll will respond. Let's bet on the time and the amount of snowfall! Winner has to buy a "protein drink" for the loser!!! My guess is snowfall at 1:30 PM with a toatal acccumulation Sunday morning of 5 inches. Who else is game...come on guys..what are your predictions?

Yikes, I think I'll keep my ideas to myself in case I lose.  I'd hate to be the recipient of a PROTEIN DRINK!    LOL

Deedee... You crack me up!!! Aren't you the queen of recipes? Surely you can stomach one of your own creations if you were to lose the contest!Lol! The way I see it, you are further east of me and more likely to get more snow than I am, so I think you're safe!!! By any chance, are you close to Pilot?

Yes, I'm a Pilotonian.  LOL  I live in North Pilot!   Why do you ask??? OK, you got me, but I STILL will forsake any protein shake/drink/bar etc. of any description... 7 inches that will start as rain and turn into snow at 1:33. (Wishful thinking... probably be more like 1.33 ounces of rain that will last only 7 minutes.)

I love you Deedee...and i haven't even met you yet. You live in Pilot and have a sense of humor...and still seem NORMAL!!! How did you mange that in Pilot? Where abouts do you live in relation to the flashing light at Stallings? You're probably right, on the greatest snowfall amount in the least amount of time. Didn't you get the wacky tornado a few years back that nobody else saw except the 100 residents of pilot that wiped out a whole block!!!!Hee hee hee...I think you and I are going to be GREAT friends!!!!!!!!!

I'm only about a mile from the flashing light.  I used to live on Stallings Rd., but left South Pilot 4 years ago and moved over here to the North side. That "normal" word surely has been making its rounds in this forum this week!  I don't know that I'm normal... don't really care to be.  Not even sure what it is...

I wasn't over here when the tornado hit, but it wiped my 3rd grade teacher's house off the map up the road.  I went over there that night to help, but there was nothing to help with.  There was dirt on the ground where a house USED to be.  They were sitting in their back porch eating supper with friends and saw it coming... got in the car and drove away as as fast as they could, KNOWING when they came home, there would be no home.  How awful that must have been. They had the clothes on their backs and she grabbed her pocketbook. So I helped next door at a friend's house too.  It was wild... walking around knee deep in insulation in the dark of night, with no roof on the house and stars up above... and the only thing she wanted to find were her daughter's videos! My school teacher had folks from up in Virginia call them that found papers and bank statements and checks that belonged to them WAY UP THERE from that tornado! Are you coming to join us at Perkins in the morning at 10 for our gathering???

I wish I could make it tommorrow but, I've got two little people and NO babysitter. I will meet up with ya'll at some point. Sorry about the the tornado trouble...that is scary buisiness. I grew up in Oklahoma and spent the majority of my summers in the underground shelter next door! So glad to give that up!!!! I used to live in Pilot before I left my husband about 2 years ago.  I have mixed feelings about that area, but mostly because of my own sitiuation.  I did meet some really good people and really liked the area . I especially miss havin a pond in my backyard. The country is very healing to the soul and that is definetly something I miss. The convience of Knightdale is great...but I do miss the country and the wide open spaces.

I hope Greensboro gets some good snow today. :) Although, it looks like the Raleigh area is supposed to get more of it. Of course, whenever I'm NOT at school (NCSU), you probably get better snow. ;)
