Dr. Paul Enochs

I'm new here too and just wanted to say hi. I am leaning toward Dr. DeMaria at Duke WLSC for my lap-band.

My husband Levi had Dr.Paul Enoch and he was wonderful. My husband was 466 lbs. and Enoch wanted him to get down to 400lbs for surgery. My husband lost the weight because he was determined. Losing the weight prior to surgery I believe was the best thing for him because the doctors don't want complications during surgery. Dr. Enoch also placed a vena cava filter in my husband prior to surgery because it reduces the risk of pulmonary embolism (blood clot that travels to the lungs where it can rupture an artery causing death). Not all patients are required to have these. Dr. Enoch is very down to earth, answer any questions, and is very knowledgeable and professional.     He has support meetings open to anyone interested. He has a support meeting next Thursday Jan. 24th at 6:00pm at Rex Hospital. My husband had his surgery at Franklin Regional Hospital but now Dr. Enoch has Gastric Bypass at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Dr. Enochs did my Lap-Band surgery.  I have really enjoyed him and his staff.  I have not had any problems.   I mainly see Lisa (FNP) and she is fantastic.  I'm not sure who would do your follow up for RNY, but Lisa follows the Lap-Band.  I also had my surgery at Franklin Regional, but that was my choice.  They had a cancelation and I couldn't wait to have it Rex.  Check out my posts.   Laurie
