Bathing suits?????????

The past 3 days we've really had some beautiful weather here.  Dug out the shorts I wore when I met my DH and tried them on (after washing 5 years of dust out), and they fit great.  I am so glad that this summer I won't have to buy any. I then got online and started looking at bathing suits.  Back then, I went almost every day and camped out at least 3 hours a day.  Since the weight came on, it went to less and less to none at all for the last year or two.  This year, I WILL go back to the beach, get the beached whale thought out of my head and do what I love to do!  I have no idea what size to order, does anyone know of a offhand rule as to whether you go up or down from your normal clothes?  I DO have a chest on me, so I have to compensate for that, but I am thinking a 14 or a 16.  My last suit at 225 was a 18W. from Land's End.  Sure, I can wear it without pull, but I deserve something new so I can have more confidence, and even though the body is still in progress, at least I'll know my suit looks great!  Any recommendations? Land's End has a great sizing chart. I use my bust measurement when selecting a suit. I'll bet you are a 12 or 14 (maybe 14 since you have a rack ... ;-)

P.S. You better not try your old suit ... I'm afraid they'll arrest you for indecent exposure because you know how suits stretch when they get wet ... there is no way you can still wear a size 18W!!!!

I agree, be careful about wearing a suit that's a little too big.  I went to the pool this week and was so excited to wear my old suit.  It WAS too tight.  When I tried it on this week, it wasn't tight at all, but wasn't hanging on me, so I thought it would be fine.  Wrong.  When it got wet, it was too big around the top.  :(  Very droopy and on the verge of indecent!  Plus Nancy, you're right!  You deserve to feel good!!!  Good luck and happy beaching!

Thanks Barb, now why didn't I think of that?  Not like I don't have fifty million of their catalogs here, and play a lot with their model.  Indecent exposure?  You must have been at the gym when I came out of the pool last month and the elastic from the leg had snapped and was hanging below my left cheek!  ugh!

I got this one in a size 20 for $49.99  It's on sale for $46.99. And while I was there, I got me a couple of new bras ON SALE too... so I saved on shipping.
