Some more new photos ...
I decided to have some portraits taken for the holidays. I was telling Candice about them and told her I'd post 'em here. Believe it or not, these were taken at Sears ...I think that they did a pretty good job. They can shoot them and print them right away. I was able to see what the photos looked like before getting them printed. I've decided that I think I may do this at milestone events ... it cost about $25.00 ... A bargain from my point of view.

As always, you are so sweet and supportive. I'm looking forward to new photos of you.
I was thinking about doing an outing where we all go get some new photos done at someplace that does an immediate turn-around like sears. Might be fun.
I enjoyed our dinner at PF Changs.
I look forward to seeing you.
Have a wonderful holiday.
Love,

I agree that Sears does a pretty decent job. We've also had some family portraits done there and I've generally been satisfied. I like to go when there isn't a huge crowd so that they can take their time.
As you said, you'll definitely want to be taking some new photos. You have already changed noticably. I can't imagine what the metamorphisis will be over the course of your journey. I know that we generally hate to have photos taken and are very harsh with ourselves when we look at our pictures, but I have to say that taking snapshots ... and yes, I think some professional portraits, over the journey has really helped me to "see" my progress. When you are in the midst of it, it can be so very hard to actually see the changes. The monthly photos really help.
I want thank you for your lovely compliments. I appreciate them very much.
All the best,
Barb

OMGoodness Kelly!
You are sooo funny! I'll be 50 in Feb, so "Barbie" was born a couple of years after me. When I was a little girl, I was called "Barby" and people used to make comments that I was "pretty as a Barbie doll." I had a wonderful collection of them until my brother was helping to clean out the garage and tossed 'em ... boys! what do they know?! At any rate, I think I've always had a love/hate relationship with Barbie because I also got the "you have such a pretty face, you would be beautiful if you slimmed down." How many of us have had that?! So, I've always felt like I fall short of the mark. If I ever win the lottery (which, of course, I don't play LOL) and I have the opportunity to have everything lifted and shifted, I'm going to take a Barbie doll in and tell 'em just to make me look like "this." LOL.
Re: Photos and portraits. I know it seems crazy, but you probably will want those befores. As you say, it's good to remember where we've been. I think as you transform into the newer, healthier you, you will be a little gentler with the "view" of the person you have been and hopefully so too, with the person you are becoming.
Can't wait to put a face to the name.
