Hi all, I have a question.  I have a friend who's insurance doesn't cover bariatric surgery.  Some of you have/are going through a state agency I think?  Could you point me in the right direction, at least a name or maybe a website?  Thanks. Ellen

Not sure what you are asking? She can contact the NC Department of Insurance (DOI) but basically they will tell her she is SOL if her plan doesnt cover. She can talk to her HR about adding the benefit... if they are unwilling then her other option would be to find a new job. As far as I know there are no individual plans offered in NC that cover WLS.
