ANOTHER GREAT SOUP RECIPE

This is my favorite to try on really cold nights.  It even tastes better the next day. SALMON CHOWDER   1 large can Salmon-bones and skin removed-break up in med size pieces 4 large russet potates 1 large yellow onion 1/2 stick of margarine of choice 1 small can of evaporated milk--skim evaporated will work.  Salt to taste Peel and cut up potatoes and onion.  Place in 3-4 qt pot and cover with water.  Add salt to water.  Bring to a boil and coo****il potatoes are fork tender.  Add in this order Salmon, margarine, then milk.  This will keep milk from curdling.   Adjust salt to taste after stirring well.  You may had a dusting of black pepper.   Bring up to a boil again and reduce heat to simmer for 10-15 minutes.  This may be pureed and is delicious.   Enjoy and stay warm!

Now that has my mouth watering!  I've never had salmon in soup and have always wanted a recipe.  Thank you so much for sharing.  This is going in my recipe file for sure!

I hope you enjoy it.  My daughter made it this weekend with fresh salmon and she said that it was even better.

This is an old family favorite and one that I keep the ingredients in the cupboard all the time.  I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does!

I would love that, but I'm not allowed to eat potatoes. Not for 6 months.  You think it would be too weird without them?  I love salmon. My husband's mother lives in Seattle and has Pike's Market overnight Fresh Salmon to use 3x a year.  We are doing fresh Grilled Salmon with garlic butter and green onions for Christmas dinner.

Give it a try--I'd double the amount of salmon.  It should be just great.

You are making me hungry.  I'll guess I might have to make some for myself this weekend.
