Please say a prayer for my Mom
My Mom suffers from congestive heart failure and was admitted to the cardiac unit yesterday morning with an arythmia. I think my sister called it artial fribulation. (sp?) I spoke with Mom this evening and she is feeling better, but very tired and a little scared. She told me her biggest fear is a stroke. She's been complaining that her leg hurts for 3 months after she took a fall and come to find out (yesterday they found out) she's been walking around on a broken femur! It's a hairline fracture, but still! My Mom is a tough old bird! Go Mom! Go Mom! So she is on bedrest for a while and the doctor put her on heparin. When she gets home she must use a walker after a period of bedrest. She also told me that she will be on coumadin for the rest of her life and may need a pace maker. She's ok though. She said at one point her pulse dropped from 100 to 70 in 3 seconds flat; that everything went black. I said, "Mom, did you think you were checking out?" She said, "I did, I thought, oh boy, this is it!" But what it was that the rapid drop in pulse made her faint. Why can't Moms live forever? Her name is Anne and all prayers are most welcomed. Love, Diane
Diane -
I'm so sorry to hear that she's having issues with atrial fibrulation and fractured femur on top of that. I'm glad to hear that she is getting medical care to help her return to health.
Of course, I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Barb
P.S. Congrats on getting your Century Club card! You sure have earned it.
