How'd your Walk from Obesity go?
We had a ball at Concord Mills in Concord, NC today! Had a great turnout and a nice, fast-paced walk. My joints are killing me, and I have to work a 12-hr shift tonight, but it was worth it!

Oh it was wonderful as well - great turn out....a fun silent auction, freebies you name it...it was great. I think it's great that we both had a good turn out. We are already planning next years. :) I worked it, didn't get to walk this year.....but I still had fun cheering everyone on. Good Luck on the working tonight, I am trying to get ready for a wedding I don't really want to go to. Oops did I say that. haha
It's good to hear you had a good time.....it was a lot of fun no matter where we were.
It was a beautiful day to walk in Greenville. The cool morning was welcome. There was a good turnout between 9 - 10 and I'm sure more folks showed as the day went on. My feet are screaming at me right now..... plantar faciatis... maybe losing weight will help that too..
Can't wait to see how much $$ was raised.

Mine was great, at least the one lap I did. It didn't start til 9 and I had to leave at 9 to get to work by 10. I barely made it! It broke my heart to miss it, but I am glad I got to participate at least a little bit.

The Greenville walk was great. I got a lot of information. Alice, I didn't get to meet you. 
I didn't realize you were there. I was at the registration table for a while. I wanted to meet you. It was fun. I actually thought there would be more obese peoole there. I felt really self concious walking around the track on by myself. There was a DJ and I was just waiting for him to make a remark to embarrass me. Then there was an ambulance parked there. Every time I walked by, I just knew the 2 guys were thinking in their minds that any minute they were going to have to load me up and take me. Maybe I am too self concious. But I met some really nice people. I was so glad to see Ellen. I will participate next year and I won't be so big. I will be post op then. I was so tired too. I already had a bad cold and the wind was terrible. After that I went to a birthday party, then the fair. My feet and legs hurt so bad. But, I was proud for making myself go.
