Update on my hubby

Hi everyone.  I just returned home from the hospital and wanted to give a quick update.  We don't know anything new at this point.  The surgical team is supposed to meet with us tomorrow to discuss our game plan and we will go from there.  Needless to say, my hubby is feeling quite anxious about what they are going to say but I told him that no matter what happens, my love for him will only grow stronger and I will always be by his side.  He has an optimistic outlook but at the same time he is scared.  We all are.  But he is already talking about us planning a renewal of our wedding vows and also walking the Cure for Cancer walk in our hometown next August. For those that have asked, my hubby's name is Denny Faw and he is 40 years old.  I just want to say that words cannot describe how I felt when I logged on here tonight and felt the love you guys were sending my way.  I feel honored and blessed to know you all and Denny and I cannot thank you enough for all the prayers and best wishes you have given us.  I have printed out all your responses and will take them with me to the hospital tomorrow so that he can read them.  I know they will touch his heart as they have touched mine.

I will update after we find out the course of action we are going to take.  Again, thank you all so much for your love and prayers and concern.  I don't know what I'd do with my OH friends!

Love to you all, Donna

Donna, you certainly will be in all of our prayers.  My sister is stage 4 uterin cancer and it had gotten other places.  Just finished radiation the day after my surgery and now just had her first chemo.  Threre is always hope and there is always miricales.  My oldest daughter a 2 time lukemia survivor.  SHe wasn't supose to see her 3rd birthday and now she is 21.  It is really odd sometimes how Our Creator lets things happen to get our attention.  Sometimes it is drastic things to us that happen to bring us back down and make us focus on what is so very important and real in our lives.  Our time here on earth is just a pinpoint in eternity and settling our differences and finding what truely is important in our relationship with those we love can oddly be seen as a gift that many don't get before we pass over.  What is also a gift is the fact in this day and age so much progress has been made in cancer treatments.  This state is bless with a couple of the finest Medical schools or universities that are leading cancer  study hospitals.  Hopefully he will be blessed with the option to get invovled with one of the leading studies going on.  His road and yours will not be easy but it will be a journey.  We off course will lend you prayers, ears and voices to hold you up for the months and years to come.  Turn it all over to the Lord now and trust with all these prayers that a miracle in his own time and way will come. We love you!

Donna - I'm so so sorry you are all going through this!  I was so shocked when I saw this and you have been so kind to everyone.  My father was a general surgeon.  They may be able to do a colon resection, then chemo and radiation and kick this thing.  I will keep you in all my prayers.  I'll get him on the prayer chain at church as well.   All the hugs and love I can think of are coming your way! God bless him, and you!
