Hi Vickie, I am SO sorry that you are feeling yuckie. I really can't help you as far as that goes. I am abut two weeks out right now. The getting in of the protein is vital. I am working on getting 60. It is hard. The only way I can get it is to drink the liquid protein. I can't handle the shakes. Are you dumping your food? Please keep us posted. We are thinking about you and will pray that you feel better real soon. Lisa
I'm sorry you're not feeling well Vickie. Have you considered calling your doctor and telling him/her what's going on? At the very least, you might find out how much longer it will last. My only suggestion concerning this is to make completely sure you are taking 30 minutes+ to eat/drink. I feel like what you describe when I eat too quickly, but it could be something else entirely. This site is great for reading about tips and experiences, but it's always best to call your doctor if you're not sure. After all, that's what we're paying them so much for, right?
Take care.
Ellen

Vickie,
I'm sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. You should call your surgeon (if you haven't already) and let them know what is going on. You may be well on your way to becoming dehydrated if you are staying sick on your stomach. I know it's hard but you need to try to get more protein down. That may help you not to feel so weak. Please don't let yourself get any weaker. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs,
Donna

Vickie- I sure hope you get feeling better SOON!
May I suggest trying the Isopure drinks, if you have not already? They are clear liquid ( not milk or soy based) and a total of 50 gr of protein per bottle. I just sipped and sipped and sipped on those early out. My nut said to count them both as a water and a protein. Send a friend or family member out to GNC and pick up a couple. They are expensive- $3.99 a bottle when not on sale- BUT considering that may be your entire intake, its worth a try.I also made lots of watered down chicken noodle soup and ate only the broth- the warmth seemed to help the stomach ache. I found it MUCH more appealing than plain broth and my doggies loved the noodle feast!
Hang in there gurl and keep us posted, ok?

Hi Sheila. I am sooo glad to find someone who has had Lapband surgery performed by Dr. Bauman. May I ask how long it took for you to loose your present weight? My tests are completed now and ready for submission to BCBS. Hopefully LapBand for me is just around the corner ( so to speak). Thanks for any input.
