Are you coming to the Triangle WLS Support Group ... July 21st?
I sure hope! So far we have 4 who would like to meet here in the triangle on July 21st. In my book, that's enough to schedule a breakfast meeting at 9:00 am. I'll be in touch re: where ... If anyone has suggestions, I'll be glad to entertain any you might have.
I'll continue to post re: July 21st Triangle Support Group meeting between now and the date of the event.
We'd love to see you, so please let me know if you can join us. I look forward to meeting one and all.
All the best,
Barb

Absolutely bring your mom. We'll be delighted to meet her.
I'm doing well. I'm down about 23 lbs since the surgery. I can't wear much of anything in my closet ... Okay, I can put it on, but it falls off. Isn't that an awful problem to have? I can actually wear a size 14/16W! I wish I could see the scale going down more, but I'm trying to remember it's just been a few days over a month and I need to realize I may not lose as much as others. I just hope that I can get down to my goal.
I went to an absolutely wonderful wedding and reception last night and danced the night fantastic! While they where taking photos, the guest were all welcomed to a spectacular reception where the wait staff was serving hors d'oevers. I was able to tolerate some of the hors d'oevers well. I just selected things that I already knew I tolerate, went slow, and chewed, chewed, chewed.
The host and hostess were incredibly gracious and allowed me to bring my own dinner. I have to say that I probably could have had what was served, but that was a gamble so I brought a medallion of slow roasted pork and carrots served w/mashed potatoes. Of course, I couldn't eat much, but I was able to take care of me and enjoy the evening. For me, it wasn't really all about the food. Of course, I passed on the champagne, wine, open bar, pastries, cake, etc... And it didn't bother me in the least. I enjoyed the company, the surroundings and dancing ...     I danced so much I had to stop and catch my breath ... litterally.
Hey! Did you see my post about the 2nd Annual WLS Celebration Cruise in Jan 2008? What a fantastic way to celebrate!
You are going to do so well Candice.
You're in my thoughts and prayers,
Barb
