Bug flew in my ear

Sorta off topic but last night a bug flew in my ear. Let me tell you it was and is HORRIBLE. Lee called 911 they came and would you belive they could not do anything to get it out all they could do was shine a light in my ear in hopes the bug would come to the light. We flushed the ear with water,oil,and hand sanitized anything to get it to stop moving. Finally after two hours the bug stopped. Going to the doctor this morning in hopes they can get it out my ear is very sore. I read in some cases they have to operate OMG.                                                                         Annie

Sending prayers and positive thoughts your way. Hope they are able to get it out in the office without surgery. My Mom had a little gnat fly in her ear a few years ago and she said it would about drive you insane. It sounds sooo loud and when she finally did get it to "come to the light" it was way smaller than it sounded. 

I am a Discovery Health TV freak, and I saw a little boy on there that happen to, the doctor shot a laser in the childs ear ( to kill the bug ) then he used a  curvey tool and pulled the dead bug out , the poor little boy was so brave.  Let us all know what the doctor says.

OMG ANNIE! I saw the title of your post and thought you had some "scoop" on something. Au Contraire! I am an EXTREME bug-a-phobe! I don't think I would have survived. Would have drove me bloody mad! Gotta give you a huge round of applause for handling it so well. I have goose bumps...eeeeeeeeek! Good luck at doctor. I hope they don't have to operate. Yikes... Mare

Hi mare, Thank goodness I got an appointment for this morning. I have already made up my mind I do not want to see it if they can get it out this morning. Thank God for the internet I found an ear doctor this morning and got right on it. Also thank goodness for bcbs . Trust me a bug in the ear could drive a person mad.                                                            Annie

OMGoodness! I can't beleive that they didn't send you to the Dr. yesterday. I'm sooo sorry that this happened to you and look forward to hearing that all is well.
