Hiccups..1 Year Post OP
I'm a little over 1 year post op and I'm having problems with hiccups after I eat something.
I get them most of the time, atleast in the past few days. The only info I could find online was this
"The bypassed stomach may enlarge, resulting in hiccups and bloating "
Has anyone had experience with this, if so, what happened and how was it resolved. I'm a little concerned because I cannot find out anything more online. I will be calling the dr tomorrow.
Thanks!
Jen

I'm 2 years post op and started having this problem recently and 2 weeks ago I had them 11 times in a 24 hour period and the next day I started hurting in my esophagus area and could not swallow without pain. Was admitted to the hospital and had a endoscope and upper GI which all was normal, only slight irritated. The doctor doesn't know why this happened but put me on previcid and I'm fine now, haven't had hiccups again. I received fluids for a day because I was dehydrated and when I went home I haven't had anymore pain either. Who knows??
