Can I a really hit a plateau after only 2 wks?

I lost about 15 lbs in the first 10 days and since then nothing.

I'm walking, getting in the protien and supplements. I'm really not sure what's happening. At this point, I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing and whistling in the dark. But I have to admit that it makes me a little nervous.

I hope I didn't do this to find out I'm one of the ones it doesn't work on.

If anyone else has had a similar experience, please let me know.

Thanks,

Barb

We all pretty much have that experience.  Your body is just taking a little rest.  It's not a plateau, as such, until it's been 4 weeks without weight loss.  Just relax and in a few days you'll see it start again.  It works, trust your surgeon, your body, and most of all God. Take care. Ellen

Don't forget to watch those inches!

Well, I measured two days ago and to date I've lost 17.5 inches total. I can really see it in my hands, feet, face, neck, legs and abdomen ... not an inch from those big ole' arms tho' ... I imagine that they will take a while.

Now I'm charting the measurements. I was planing to try and take them every other week or whenever I get really frustrated.

I started this as a size 22/24, lost to an 18/20W before surgery and have slid down into a 16W ... now that's something to smile about :-)

Barb-  Your playing by the rules, things will continue to work. Your body is probably figuring out something strange has happened and is now reacting - so to say, LOL I believe that you will have great success!

I DIDN'T HIT A STALL UNTIL FOUR WEEKS OUT, BUT IT DID LAST FOR 5 WEEKS.  I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL, BUT  YOU WILL START LOSING AGAIN.  I CALLED DOCTOR CHAPMAN'S OFFICE AND THEY TOLD ME TO STAY OFF SCALES, DRINK MY WATER, PROTEIN AND EXERCISE.  I WENT 3 WEEKS WITHOUT WEIGHING BEFORE MY 3 MONTH CHECK-UP, AND WAS SOOO WORRIED ABOUT WEIGHING IN HIS OFFICE.(CRYING ACTUALLY). ANY WAY , SOME WHERE IN THAT 3 WEEKS I LOST 24 LBS.FOR A TOTAL OR 51 LBS IN 3 MONTHS.    SO IT WILL HAPPEN.
