Weight Gain Worries
Sorry about that, I hit the enter button by mistake before I could finish typing...
During my education class on March 15th I weighed in at 209 lbs. Since that time I gained 5 lbs!!!
I completed all my pre-op testing and evaluations last week. My first appointment with my surgeon is June 20th. Am I going to be reprimanded or denied surger for gaining 5 lbs? I tell myself its okay because I will be required by the doctor to go on a 4 week Atkins-based diet 4 weeks before surgery (to reduce the size of my liver). I'm thinking of callling the surgeon's office tomorrow and getting their advice. If the 5 lb wight gain is going to be a no no, then I will cancel my appointment on the 20th and reschedule for a later date and start losing weight immediately. All advice will be truly appreciated. Thanks! You can do this! I was told at my initial consult with my doctor that I had to lose 30 lbs before he would even schedule my surgery. I started Adkins that day and 3 days later went to his office to meet the nutritionist and lost 5 lbs. It can be done! And you are strong enough to do it! Good luck.
