(Off Topic) We Need Prayers

Hey everyone. I just want to let you all know that my son Nathaniel will be having eye surgery tomorrow. He has a detached retina in his left eye and they are going in to repair it. He is only 7 years old. He has never been through anything like this before. I had to have the same surgery when I was his age and I can remember how scared I was. I know he will be scared tomorrow and it is breaking my heart. Eye problems run in my family and sometimes I feel so guilty for passing it on to my children. Please keep us in your prayers tomorrow. Thank you.

Best of luck to your son and the family as you all go through this surgery. I feel sure he will be fine, but yes at 7 years old, it is sure to be scary.I know it is nerving to have to see your little one go through this as well.  We will say our prayers and keep us posted on his progress. Lisa

Wishing Nathaniel a safe surgery. Ask for something for his anxiety as soon as you see a nurse. My son had surgery a few yrs ago and he was terrified and crying, as soon as he got his medicine he was in la-la-land! We actually ended up laughing our butts off because he was so goofy! It helped me not seeing him scared. Best wishes!
