I GOT MY SURGERY DATE TODAY!

I met with Dr. Farrell today and visited the Pre-Care people for my chest x-ray and EKG and Dr. Farrell was as wonderful as Diane claims he is.  He took his time and explained the entire procedure, benefits, risks and what to expect before, during and after my hospital stay.   SURGERY IS SET FOR JUNE 21st. I AM SO VERY EXCITED!  I've just been grinning all day long.  I'm so ready for this.  Now I can get things at work in order and at home too so that all I have to concentrate on is getting better once I have the surgery.   June 21st.  I just can't believe the date has actually been set!  Whoooooo Hoooooo!

I've been thinking of you today, hoping to hear the good news. I'm just delighted. My surgery is tomorrow, but hopefully I'll be online again later in the week.

If I didn't tell you before, I am so very happy for you!

thanks Barb...looks like the two of us are both too excited to sleep.   I know I've said it before in an email and in reply to your post but I'll say it again...I will be praying for you tonight and tomorrow for a speedy recovery and a uneventful procedure.   Let us know as soon as you are able how things went for you.  Good luck.  E

Hi Ethel!  I came home for lunch looking for a post from you, but I just missed it as I have to be back to work by 8 p.m.  I am working 2nd shift now.  CONGRATULATIONS!  Dr. Farrell is wonderful and you can have every confidence in his work.  He has certainly been a blessing in my life.  Your surgery is in 2 weeks!  At least you have time to prepare.  I got in on a cancellation and mine was in 2 DAYS!  But I went for it and have not had an inkling of regret, not even a smidge!  I am so happy for you.  It won't be long and I'm dusting off a spot on the loser's bench for you!  I wonder if Barb is awake tonight... with her surgery in the morning and all.... Congratulations Ethel!  June 21st will be here before you know it.  (Here comes my speech...)  Do what you can to get ready now.  Up your water intake and your protein intake, walk as much as you can every day, learn to take small bites and chew well, try to sip instead of chugging water, and start taking your vitamins now. Yeah, that relationship with our site was short and sweet wasn't it?  Guess no suckers were willing to take on that mess.   That was my big smile!  I finally told my sisters about my surgery today and one took it  very well I thought  ut my older sister didn't say a word.  She just kind of stood there.  I'm sure I'll hear something about it.  Oh well. So where in the process are you now?   I can remember being so excited when my pcm agreed that I would make a good candidate.  That was eight months ago and I don't think I was as excited when I finally got my date.  It's been so long that I almost don't believe that it is going to happen...maybe once June 21st gets closer.
