Does Dr. Moran use the new AP band?

Just curious? I've seen some posts on the main lap band forum stating that their doc's are using the new band. Have any of you had it?

Dr Voellinger is using it here in Charlotte. He is one of 14 surgeons in the US using it.

It seems that by reading Dr. Curry's post that the VG band will be less commonly used with surgeons going with the AP instead. Is there a list somewhere of the current 14 surgeons using the AP band?

I am not sure about a list, I am sure inamed will have it since they are the maker of the band. There will be another band coming out either late this year or the first of next year by ethicon (sp?) As for the VG band not sure there. I think it's still bigger the AP band from inamed. I will see if I can find out from Dr V who the docs are but if not again I would say contact the company they will have a list.  Let me know if I can answer any other questions...I will try to answer what I can. :-)
