OT: Memorial Day Memory
Memorial Day we give honor to our fallen servicemen and women. I lost my brother while he was serving in the Navy. He wa**** by a drunk driver while he was driving home from church. My Dad was a WWII Subvet and a truly honorable man. To Allan Sr. and Allan Jr. my hat is off, I love you and miss you both. I, myself, am an Army vet. I am proud of my service. It was an awesome experience. I regret none of it. I would also like to share memory of my Grandmother, Lavinia, whose love and kindness I strive to emulate all my life. Grandparents are special jewels in our society! Their influence on our lives is far more powerful than our parents. What a gift to have them live to a ripe old age! Beauty acquires new definition with age. Little lines and wrinkles bear testimony to years of love and laughter. While we honor our fallen heros, take another minute to call your grandparents, if you are blessed to still have them, and tell them how much they mean to you.
Blessings,
Diane
Dianne,
Thank you for your service to our country. Freedom is never free and I wish more people acknowledged and realized this. We take so many things for granted that we shouldn't. I have two brothers, my father, and my late grandfather who all served this country in the past. My oldest brother had to serve in Iraq last year and thank the Lord he came home safe. My heart aches for all the families who have to be apart from their loved ones who are serving overseas. But in the same token I am glad there are those who are willing and able to do the work they do to keep up safe here at home. So again, THANK YOU, to you and to all members of the armed services!!!! Job well done!!!!
Hugs,
Donna
