I was on the treadmill the day I got home from the hospital, and going to exercise class as soon as I felt able... the next week.  Good luck! Diane

Start walking when you get home and keep increasing the length as you feel able.  Your doctor will probably give you guidelines as to when you can start various activities.  I was able to go back to normal activity, including the gym, at 2 weeks.  I had mine done lap, open takes longer.  You have to gage how you feel and what your doctor says. Take care. Ellen

I was required to walk 20-30 mins a day after I got out of the hospital... at my 2 week f/u I was cleared for all activities except ab work... anything ab related had to wait until after 3 months out.
