Watch the Surgery Live from ECU

I had found this link and would like to share it with any of you who have never seen the gastric by pass procedure.  I will be having it done June 6, at East Carolina University.  ECU or Pitt Memorial is one of the leading centers in the Nation for this proceedure.  Mr Doctor is John Pender.  THe assistant in this.  This was done last July of 06.   http://www.or-live.com/PittCounty/1510/    I watch it a few times and each time I feel better about my choice.  But I am still neverous.  Does everyone have to do this liquid/slimfast 2 weeks prior to surgery?  I could chew my horses leg off.  I work downtown on the Beaufor****erfront surrounded by several resteraunts.  I hate to leave the building after I get there.

That was scary.  It seems like those tools would tear the intestine, the way they pull it and move it around.  We really are putting our lives in the surgeons hands.  Good luck with your surgery.  While you are in surgery, I will be meeting with Dr. Naziri, hopefully getting my date. Stacy

OMG! I'm glad I saw it but it was scary. I guess it is important to actually know what we are getting into but EWWWWWWWWWW.... no wonder you are in pain afterwards. Jennifer
