What a great experience.....
This surgery is about a lot of things for me. I want to be healthy, but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't care about looking nicer. I want so much more out of life than I can have at 350+ pounds. I'm not saying that I didn't have a life then, but I wanted more. The evidence in the closet is so exciting, that's where you first get the proof that it is working.
Take care.

Ellen -
You truly are an inspiration! Congratulations on losing the pounds and the clothes. I'm sure that it must be an incredible feeling to see yourself "melting away."
I'm still a bit aprehensive, but looking forward to my own surgery on June 5th. :agnst: I have been walking, going to Curves, drinking water, water, water, and changed my diet pre-op. I've lost about 20 lbs. so far and did my own closet clean out yesterday. I'm going to have to do a sort on it, but I've cleared out about 5 linear feet out of my closet ... either clothes I can't wear anymore or clothes I won't be able to wear next season (she says hopefully ...)
I wish you all the best and continued success as you "work" towards your goal.
