Barbara, You are so wonderful! You always know exactly what to say to encourage me. I appreciate you! I apologize for the delay in my response. I have been traveling all week with very limited access to email. How did we ever communicate before the days of email? I was have complete withdrawls. Tell me, what is that latest on your surgery? I know that you were approved. Now what is the process? Thank you so much for all your support. Thinking of you, Candice

Way to go Candice! It won't be much longer now! I say this over and over again, but while you're waiting start walking, if you aren't already, every day for as much as you can. Up your protein, take small bites and chew them well, and start training yourself to sip your drinks instead of larger gulps. You're day will be here soon, good luck. Take care. ~Ellen

Candice - I went to Dr Mitchell also! He is terrific! The hospital stay was as pleasant as could be! I had the surgery 1 month ago. I've lost 25 pounds. Everyone there was terrific. I must say when I got approved I was scheduled in 2 weeks. They put you in ICU and the nurses there were wonderful! I encourage you to walk, walk, walk while in the hospital. It helps! Surgery started at 2 and they got me up walking around 8 that evening. I was sore and I was thinking - what have I done! It is normal and expected. I had a 4 day stay and I was glad to get home. Stay strong! It is well worth it! I am thinking of you and this incredible journey! Antoinette

Candice - I think I can say this for everyone here. The NC forum may be small but we all give and support one another 100%. Be excited, this has been a long time coming for you! Take some good before pictures so that you can track your losses. Sometimes the scale weight not move that's when you pull out those pictures to see how you've changed. And by change I don't only mean your appearance, your spirit will change just as much if not more. Don't be shy, post with us more often! We all need the support of others going through the same experience Best Wishes- Wendy
