Jumping for joy. . .
Thank you all for sharing in my joy and excitement. It's funny -- when I started this journey my Mom was totally against me having the surgery. She had only heard the horror stories associated with it. I convinced her to go to the first informational class my surgeon requires of all his patients and afterwards she seemed to warm up to the idea of the surgery a little bit but was still not sure if she wanted me to do it. Then I asked her to go the support group meeting with me last month and as we were leaving there, she told me that she would see to it that I got to have the surgery because after seeing and hearing all the success stories there and knowing how important this is to me, she said she understood why I wanted to do this. And she said the look on my face whenever someone shared stories of their journey or told the group they received approval and got a date made her want this for me that much more. She truly is a special Mom and she's been there for me when no one else was and I love her more than words can ever say.
I am so blessed and I thank God for all the wonderful people He has brought into my life -- my family, my friends, and all my WLS buddies!!!! Remember to always be thankful for ALL your blessings!!
Hugs to you all,
Donna
