Surgery date postponed

What a day it's been, I was scheduled for surgery today as some of you probably previously read. Well I get to the OR this morning get undressed, the nurse takes my vitals inquires if i'm having any pain, I told her no but I have an absess under my arm and showed it to her. I have a skin disease (hidradenits supportiva) and explained to her that this was a small one that would go away. Well the nurse felt the need to call my Surgeon so she then leaves to come back in shortly with a phone informing me that my surgeon wants to speak with me, well guess what ...he threw his back out and was going to call the OR anyways, so long story short my surgery has been rescheduled for hopefully "Thursday" if his back gets better of course and he put my on antibiotics until then. So I get up and get dressed and home I came HUNGRY. LOL ... Wednesday night I get to drink the prep again and . Thursday will hopefully be my day. For you guys that said a pray for me thank you, cause God works in mysterioius ways and something was not meant for me to have surgery today!!!! Please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers that this will happen for me soon ...

Sonya, Despite this setback you have a great attitude. That has to help. I, too, believe God works in mysterious ways but always for the best. Enjoy the next few days and your surgery will be here before you know it. You're in my prayers! Karen
