Moving to NC

Hi everyone. My name is Jenna. I am moving to Kure Beach, NC in a few short weeks. I was all set to have surgery here in VA on the 24th of this month and then they found out I was moving and now wont do he surgery. I am so bummed out. Does anyone have a suggestion on a surgeon, Hospital, support groups etc.? Any links for me to check these people/places out? Thank you so much in advance and Happy New Year!!!!! Jenna

Man, that sounds grossly unfair. I know there are some surgeons in the area. I believe there are ways you can locate them on this board. Always check him/her out though. On a brighter note, you are moving to a great location. Diane

Hi Jenna. I had nearly the same thing happen to me. I had done the 6 month weight loss and exercise thing, all the tests, and the psych eval. I was ready for submission when my husband moved us to Greenville, NC. I wasn't sure how to take that initially, but I have come to believe that this was right for me. This is God's timing not mine. As a bonus, we really love it here. In any event, there are several good hospitals/programs in North Carolina. I am now in with Dr. Chapman at ECU/Pitt County Memorial Hospital. It all looks good from here, but of course I can't say for sure until I've had my surgery. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. Welcome to North Carolina. ~Ellen
