Hernia surgery at Christmas????

I am so upset! I spent Sunday night in Presbyterian Hosp. with pain that brought me to my knees and had me begging for mercy. Now I am facing hernia surgery on Friday. I might be out in time for Christmas...but maybe not. This will be hernia surgery number 5 for me. I am so sad. Who wants to spend their holidays this way? Christie

Christie, I am sooooo sorry that you are having to face surgery this week. I know you are very about it. I really hope you are able to be out for Christmas. I know exactly how you feel because during my many sick months just after the surgery I spent my anniversary and my husband's birthday in the hospital. Not the same as Christmas but it was still hard. I just wanted you to know I will be thinking of you and I hope the surgery goes well.
