Home from the Hospital!

I had my RNY on Friday morning and have had absolutely no problems! I was so surprised that I've not felt any more pain than I have and I really believe all the pain can be attributed to the gas they blew into my tummy, rather than the actual surgery. I was on clear liquids yesterday and then today graduated to pureed/soft foods. I was given mashed potatoes/gravy, cream of mushroom soup, pureed pork (gross), diced peaches and a packet of sugar-free CIB and told to eat about 1/2 cup of whatever I felt like eating. I'm home with the same type foods to eat and sip, sip, sipping on my bottles of water. Thanks for all the well-wishes! Merry Christmas, too!

Woo-hoo Patti! Welcome to the loser's bench! I LOVE Dr. Fuzz! I had my surgery on 3-21-06 and have lost 104 lbs so far. I'll be looking for you at the support group meeting on the 21st of this month. The gas pains were the worst thing I remember directly after surgery, also. Life gets better and better week by week. God bless you on your journey! Tamara
