I'M APPROVED

I'M so in disbelief, just yesterday I was posting on the boards inquires about insurers requiring 3/6 month supervised diets and nervous that whenever I was submitted for approval of the surgery that I wouldn't be approved until I had proof of a supervised diet.... Well I checked my mail today and there was a letter stating "I'VE BEEN APPROVED FOR GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY" OMG...I was at work jumping and for joy...yeh it took me half a day to get all my wind back in my lungs but OMG it was awesome to open that letter and reading that!!! Honestly I didn't even know I had been submitted for approval, didn't think that would be done until after my consult and EGD...OMG...I'm sooooo excited...gotta start getting ready cause this seems like it may just be meant for me and its happening...OMG!!!

Sonya, I just wanted to say congrats on your approvel! Isnt is just the greatest news ever?? I too just got approved yesterday and today is my birthday so it was such a great brithday present for me. I still cant believe it myself because I was denied twice because they wanted all this supervised documented 6 month diet even tho I did an appeal in Nov, I heard nothing from them so my surgeons office did an appeal for me and that was at the end of Nov so I was so sure they would deny me again till I got the phone call yesterday saying I was approved. Its like a dream and I cant wake up, I still cant believe its happening LOL SO I am having the same reaction as you right now. Its so wonderful when it actually happens. My tenative date is also the 16th of January!!!! I'm nervous though I have to admit, I have an IBD and it has to be concidered in a remissionate state for me to have surgery.... and I think my nerves is causing it to flur up so I'm trying to keep myself calm and do all the right things that it doesn't!!!! As I mentioned I have an appointment with my surgeon tomorrow I'm soooo excited to have one on one time with him and discuss my concerns and hear his as well if any... Honestly I think the next 3 weeks will be the longest that I've gone through in history!! I feel like since having children and a husband this is the first thing in YEARS that I have done for me and may be the beginning of something awesome in my life.... Denise we have to keep each other posted on the progress to our rebirthdate of January 16th....
