Havin' a hard time finding a Dr.

Well lets see I moved here from N.J. in August, before I left I had a great team of Drs., but here I am in N.C. and I have to start all over again. it's okay this way all of my Drs. will be local.Lap-Band I thinks it's best for me I'm at 305 and I'm 5'8 1/2 , I hope to get down to 175 to 190. I've been looking for a Dr. who accepts united health care, I could use some info..PLEASE.

I had mine June 05 and to date have lost 100 pounds. I love my band. It's the best thing I have ever done for me. Let me just say I work for Dr Voellinger now. I started working for him March of this year and it's also the best career change I have ever done for myself also. So I needless to say I think he is just wonderful. When I attended his seminar in 04 I knew from that moment on he was the doc for me. Also I am part of a great group of girls mostly here in Charlotte on www.band2gether.net. Kisha Wilson is a little bit of a drive to Charlotte, but Dr. Voellinger and his team are worth the trip and I know that others drive as far if not farther. I had RNY surgery 1 month ago and although the 1st week isn't that fun, recovery really wasn't too bad. I have already lost 28lbs. I am sure that there are good Dr's in Raleigh, but seriously check out Dr.V before making a decision. BTW - Kim Gordon was a great help. Chris

I am finishing pre-op and my dr. is Dr Paul Enochs. He is in Raleigh and does surgery at Louisburg which is not far from yo u. I am having the lap band also and I have united healthcare. It will cover it. They have been very helpful at Dr. Enochs office and things are moving very rapidly. I only have 3 more tests then it off the insurance for approval. Hoping to have my band by the end of this year or early Jan. Hope this helps.

I am using Ken Mitchell in Pinehurst. And they have started doing the Lap Band in Greenville, but I'm not sure if it is the School of Medicine or private guys who are doing it.
