Hospital Bill

Just curious im self pay with dr Bauman at northeast. I know the deposit is 16k but was curious what the real bills ending up being. Not that it makes much difference if i end up with 2 or 3k back with that much money, but just wondering

I am not sure I am answering your question here, but... I had insurance (and coinsurance) so I only had to pay both deductibles ($600). My total bill for everything was $40K. Good Luck Susan 5'3" 242/231/142/140

I was self pay here in Wilmington. Surgeon was 5100. Hospital was 15000. Anesthesiologist was $1440.

Here's a break down of my charges, these were all covered by insurance. Also, these were from Feb 06 so I don't know if they are higher now. Consult $255 Preop Visit $130 Surgeon 4875.00 Anesthisa $1300 Hospital 17194.54 I had no complications, I was in and out in 48 hours and I have had no problems post op. I had the same dr as you. Surgeron was $ 8.400 Hospital was $ 17,000 ( Presbyterian Uptown Charlotte ) and another $ 2,000 misc charges ie... nutritionst etc.. Worth every single penny and 100 percent tax write off on medical I tell people, if we can finance a car for 5 years, why not finance our very own life.... even getting a second job, cutting back on any extra's , buying clothes at Goodwill instead of Lane Bryant.... it is so worth it. Today in my office we will be having our Thanksgiving lunch, over 300 crock pots full of yummy recipies to try, last year I eat so much I felt rotten..... this year I know I will need a take home box LOL. I thank The Lord for allowing me to have the surgery and for the quick recovery time and no problems. I had surgery on March 14th 2006 and I have lost over 140 pounds from my heavest weight until now..... I have gone from a size 26 to a size 14 ( girlfriends say I need a 12 ) ....
