Centers of Excellence

I had my surgery with Dr Naziri (at Pitt). They are a C of E. I have been very pleased!

Greetings to everyone... Hi Kristen.... Like some others *****sponded to your posting.. Brody and Pitt is where I will have my surgery when it is scheduled. As to the Centers of Excellence situation.... with regard to Medicare... they have not received their approval yet. I spoke with Dr. Chapman's office the first of last week and was informed that they hope to have it by the end of the year. So, I, myself, am in a holding pattern as I am on disability and am waiting for the approval so medicare will pay for my surgery. I agree too as to hearing great things on the doctors associated with Pitt County Memorial who do bariatric surgery. I do know Brody and Pitt have the designation as one of the 6 NIH Ce nters in the nation. I also underwent in 2004 cancer surgery at Pitt with doctors associated with Leo Jenkins Cancer Center and Brody. Great care... had surgery on Friday and went home on Tuesday.... experienced no problems... Just wanted to add my 2 cents in on Brody and Pitt... Hope everyone has a great and happy Thanksgiving...
